Your Engineer - Ryan Conway "A great work of art is made out of a combination
of obedience and liberty." -Nadia Boulanger Hello, my name is Ryan Conway and thank you for visiting the ConwaySound website. This page is here to give you background information on me and tell you a little about ConwaySound studio. I am an engineer, producer and musician living and working in Denver Colorado. From an early age I was attracted to all the possibilities that technology has brought to the arena of music, sound and recording. This attraction led me to study engineering, synthesizer programming and production. As I began to learn how to create specific sounds, and blend them together to create a complete soundscape, I also quickly became aware that I would need to understand something else; the music itself. Immediately I began to log long hours in front of a piano, learning how to read and write music, the theory behind it and the techniques required to realize a musical vision. |
After enrolling in the University of Colorado at Denver, I worked hard to become one of the top students in the disciplines of recording arts, scoring and arranging both classical and jazz piano performances. It was during this time that ConwaySound Recording and Production Studio was born. My work as a professional musician grew into engineering, production and composing. While managing and directing the commercial band JellyRoll, little by little I transformed ConwaySound from a small project setup into a state-of-the-art professional facility with high end acoustics, microphones, cables, pre-amplifiers, compressors, equalizers, converters patch-bays and monitors. In the 10 years since opening ConwaySound studio I have engineered dozens of full length albums, hundreds of demos and countless singles and specific compositions. Recently some of the studio's productions have been featured on Rocky Mountain PBS, MTV and VH1, as well as garnering excellent reviews from WestWord magazine.

In addition to being an engineer I am also a pianist, the musical director at New Nation COGIC, and have performed at many local venues including Denver University's Magness Arena, The Gothic Theater, The Boulder Theater and The Fox Theater.
It is this combination of experience, education, dedication and talent that allows me to provide you with a time efficient, relaxed and well-organized recording session that will give your project the professional edge. |
